Hi, I’m Joelle

I’ve always loved traveling and as an only child, I was lucky enough to go on all my parents’ vacations growing up. We spent a lot of time traveling throughout the U.S. and the Caribbean and I visited Europe for the first time in college. After seeing Lisbon, Portugal and London, England I knew the start of my international travels were just beginning. 

When my husband and high school sweetheart of ten years, Brevin, signed his first professional basketball deal to play in Serbia, those close to us began asking how to follow along on our adventure. Between my extra time due to working remotely, my quieter than normal social life (thanks Covid-19) and the cool opportunity to live and work from Serbia at 23 years old, this blog was born. Three years and another professional contract later and we are living in Belgium!

After graduating from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 2019 (shoutout Bucky!), I began working on the Brand Development team at an advertising agency and recently left to pursue freelance opportunities. Daily I am reminded how marketing and social media are constantly evolving and just how important brand strategy is. I’m looking forward to applying what I’ve been learning right here on this little corner of the Internet.
